Lake Lodge Telemark is my private retreat on the edge of Lake Nisser in Vrådal, surrounded by the forests and mountains of Telemark.

I’m Marco Robeerst. Originally from the Netherlands, I have called Norway home for many years. Much of my working life has been spent in hospitality, including many years running a boutique hotel in the Norwegian mountains. That experience shaped the way I think about places and the people who stay in them.

I believe good hospitality should feel effortless. A beautiful setting, a comfortable house, thoughtful details and the freedom to make a place your own for a few days.

Lake Lodge is a home by the lake that I enjoy sharing with people who appreciate nature, design and a slower rhythm of life.

Telemark still has that wonderful quality of feeling undiscovered. Beyond the well-known sights are mountain roads, swimming spots, old farms, tiny villages, local food and landscapes that can stop you mid-conversation.

So make yourself at home. Explore when you feel like it, stay by the lake when you don’t, and enjoy Lake Lodge at your own pace.
